Mind and Ocean

The mind is an ocean.
The ocean has its own mind.

The mind hides secrets in its depths,
a documentary of a lifetime.

In its depths, the ocean also keeps secrets—
things lost and sunk over the years.

A stormy, violent mind can be dangerous,
filled with cruel and ominous thoughts.

The violent ocean can be dangerous,
destroying everything that rides upon it.

Calm, tranquil thoughts can make the mind peaceful.
People become happy, and love and peace bloom.

A calm, smooth ocean is a thing of beauty.
One can enjoy its beauty and feel the breeze.

The mind can erupt like a volcano,
causing destruction and devastation.

The ocean erupts when the earth quakes;
it can cause tempests and tsunamis.

Both mind and ocean can nurture and kill,
yet humanity and nature can keep them calm.
