Things I hate…

Oh my God, I never realized that I was walking into trouble when I took Silverine’s tag. Now I am on the hit /hate list of many people who read the tag. I have deleted some of the comments that were too strong and colorful.

I apologize for the over use of the word ‘people’ in the list and have revised the tag to remove the human element from the list as best as I could. Hope this time I got it right. I think I could safely add one more to the hate list—Tags.

So, James, Anu, Geo, Chackochan, Poison and Paresh, take the tag at your own risk.

let me tell you one thing. you were asked to post on things you hate and i see you have mentioned “people who …” for almost all 40 in the list. it seems you hate a lot of people! do you? shall i better suppose that you must have said smtg like i hate opportunism, pessimism, hypocricy like that like that? or it could have better said like ‘i hate it when people are not punctual’. ya itz all abt restructuring and consequent interpretation. otherwise it seems you hate everyone in the world! for some one or the other ought to have some of the -ve qualities you mentioned.

ya again i presume you mentioned the qualities and not people 🙂

I came to here through Silverine’s and Chackochan’s blogs. I was reading through your blogs, when I read this article. I figured that I will be one who will be hated by you. For I am late for most of the time (Number 11), as for this I have an explanation, I was born late by a week, my mom’s delivery date was supposed to be a week earlier than my birth date!! And I am quite lazy (partly number 13). My bedroom is a mess and I clean it only once in a fortnight, but by the time it would in a complete mess (number 28) and promises are something that I find hard to keep (number 31)!! So I think I would be hated by many who will identify to your lists!!:-( Okay, lemme try to change myself!!

    Alex,

I get the feeling that this is one tag that most of us will agree with on most points. Amazing list!! I wish I could list more…this was such an easy tag to do and like you said, a little creepy because I didn’t realise till I listed it that I hated so many things 🙁

This is the first time I’ve been tagged. I hope it is easy come to with hate-list.

BTW, you’ve got a long list of people to hate. Most of them match my character. I wish to know your likings, so that I know where I stand.

rocksea: I do hereby solemnly affirm that I don’t hate ‘a lot of people’. But I will be lying, if I don’t admit that I really hate a few, for various reasons. But that number is less than five, very small a number when compared to the people I love and respect 🙂

Yes, I can write (in fact I have already written) ‘I hate it when people are not punctual’. But what should I say when someone is always late? I can understand if someone is late because of some reason. Today, with everybody carrying mobile phones, is it too much to expect for someone to call and tell that he/she will be late? 🙁

Everybody has some of the negative points that I mentioned. I definitely do. But I try to change the negative points. Also there are various degrees of hatred. It can range from a minor annoyance to anger to pure unadulterated hatred. My feelings usually tend to occupy on the lower side of the scale except in very rare cases.

Unni: Thanks for visiting my blog. You don’t have to worry. There are not many who are identifying with my list 🙂 I liked you explanation for being late 😉

Silverine: First it was an easy tag. Second time was more difficult :-).

Paresh: Coming up with a hate list is not as easy as it seems 🙂 I am not taking another tag on ‘things I like.’ Don’t worry; you are on my best friends list 😉

    Alexis,
Sorry for being late. I am in the Medical admissions Unit at the moment and was very busy and tired!. I haven’t understood clearly to do what precisely! Sorry for being stupid! What am I supposed to do after taking the tag?
I am very happy to see that you have many new visitors to your blog, my dear.

James: Is the Medical admissions unit something similar to the emergency ward here, or is it something totally different. From you description, I get a feeling that it is high pressure job.

Regarding the tag, you have to list the things (things, not people) that you hate and you should then pass the tag to people whose opinion you want to hear.

😀 alexis, i know that you meant the same earlier. and most of us must have hated somebody sometime for smtg. and most of us dont hate everyone out there.

now it is easy to associate with the list cuz it’s mostly -ve qualities.. haha, you added Tags too. lucky you dont have ‘comments’ in the list . anyways cats are ok for me.

i keep a lot of books, have a small library and i hate it when people take the books to their home and return it (or never) after years of pleading from me, as a tattered-pages missing-book

  11. Alexis Leon said,

rocksea: There is one thing that we have in common. Books. I too have a small library (about 10,000 books I bought during the last 25- 30 years). I never allow anyone to take the books out of my room. That way I can keep an eye on how they are handled. But I hate to see books being handled without respect, even if it is done by the owner of book.

    Alexis,
Yes, you are right, the medical patients from the accident and emergency comes to the medical admissions unit. We have to stabilise them further and do all the necessary investigations like scans, blood tests, ecgs etc + the appropriate management. We only keep them for few days with us. If someone is not improving, they will be transferred to the respective wards. There will be a constant flow of patients all the time. It is a highly pressurising job unfortunately.
And at the end of the day, you are good for nothing!
I wiil take that tag very soon.

Nice long list of things you hate. But come to think of it…..the things you like would be just as long…..cos, wont it be just the opposite of what you hate.

James: But James you are saving lives and that is what makes you profession so noble and your work so rewarding. Bone tired, I agree, but very satisfied, I am sure.

All the best doc. Posts can wait. Human life is more important 🙂

-poison-: Sie sind nicht in meiner Hassliste…. 🙂

I am waiting to see a hate list that does not contain the things that I have mentioned!

Suji: That is an interesting thought. Yes, it will be a longer list. Because I love more things than I hate. Thank you

ya experience taught me. so what did i do before coming here? we made a sliding glass screen for the shelf (to make it less easier) and also put a register. with a condition that whoever takes a book sign in it. anyways i like people taking the books to read, i feel thatz what books are for.. so i encourage some of my cousins to take home n read..
