Life
Life is hard and difficult,
It is harsh and challenging.
But we shouldn’t complain about the hardships,
We shouldn’t think about the harshness.
We don’t have to think too hard about life,
As we know who we are,
Why we are here,
And what we are here for.
We just have to move with the flow,
Keeping the lights burning and engine running,
Nothing more,
Nothing less.

It’s true that we shouldn’t think too hard about life, but do we really know who we are and why we are here?
Loved the picture of that candle, it’s dark and bright at the same time, not to forget the tinge of red – just like life 🙂

The crux of life… Short but not so sweet. Let the Jesus and the Buddhas dwell into the higher purpose. We are here to do our time. So, live & let live. And, be Happy 🙂
Glad to see you back and that too with a Bang 🙂

Captivating lines as always…you handle words with such care and sensitivity.
” We don’t have to think too hard about life” – I totally agree. Most, in fact, overthink; worrying so much about the future or dwelling so much in the past that the present just passes by without being appreciated.
“nothing more, nothing less” – Absolutely!
” Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.”

Hi Alexis,
Always good to see you back with something new….
trust all izzzzz well 🙂
Would love to share something I read…….
“Life is like a FLUTE..
It may have many holes
and emptiness inside..
But if we learn to work on it carefully,
it can weave magical melodies
making it as our gateway
to success and happiness..”
Mistakes happen to everyone.
No matter what we look like, who we are, what we do for a living, we’ve made mistakes. We all have and we literally cringe when we look back on some of our mistakes
But you know what? It doesn’t do any good to focus on them. Take what you can from them, learn from them, and then move the heck on……
Life is short and so uncertain so be happy with the present, keep smiling and count every blessing!!!! 🙂

very true…
reminded me of these few lines, which i think is credited to George ASAF(henry Powell). whenever i felt homesick or depressed in the hostel,a senior of mine would remind me of these lines
What’s the use of worrying
It never was worth while
So, pack up your troubles in your old kit bag
And smile, smile, smile.
…and yes…i smile thru the troubles now…believing that this too shall pass 🙂

‘But we shouldn’t complain about the hardships,
We shouldn’t think about the harshness’
First line.. ok.. I can do it. 🙂 I think I am an expert in hiding all the worries behind a smile 🙂 …But, the second line ! hmmmm 🙁 … It is not an easy job for me, especially when alone.. I believe, the Almighty wont leave us to be helpless for ever. A messenger from HIM told me to change my attitude n concentrate in writing ..and it worked ! How can I express my love n gratitude him !
Thanks Alex, for the beautiful poem and wonderful message 🙂

Alexis..
I disagree….
” As we know who we are,
Why we are here,
And what we are here for.”
If we all really knew this.. world would have been a better place…..

Bindu: I was not talking about the philosophical discussion about the meaning of life. The ‘Who am I?’; ‘Every person is trying to find the answer to the question who he or she is and what his/her purpose in life is. It is a never ending quest, a quest that each person will continue till the end of his life but will never get an answer, etc.’ Each person knows what he is, what he is good at, what his limitations are, and what he can do, etc. If each of us can do what we could do, it would make the world a better place to live, and for doing that we don’t have to take any extra effort, there are a lot of good deeds that we can do as we go along. Sorry that it came out differently 🙁
Paresh: Thanks buddy. I couldn’t have explained it better 😉
Thulsy: Thanks TME.
Vandana: Thanks Vandana and thank you for the quote.
Jane: Thank you Jane. Liked the poem.
Sujatha: Thanks and I am glad that you have a very positive attitude. And loved the lines.
Sheeba: Thank you Sheeba. I know you are doing both and doing a good job at it 🙂
Roji: Hi Roji, long time no see. Knowing something and doing something is different. People who do the wrong things know that what they are doing is not right; but still they do it. If everyone (if I borrow Paresh’s words) live and let others live the word would have been a better place…

Oops! Must have been the mood that I was in when I read this. How we perceive what we read also depends on who we are and where we are sometimes, I guess 🙂
