Time Travel

Today is 2nd December 2025.
I want to travel back to 1993.
I want to warn myself not to fall in love with the girl I fell in love with.
I want to tell my parents and friends to discourage me.
I want to tell my friends to tell me “She ain’t right for you.”
I want to tell my fiancée’s friends to tell her “He ain’t suited for you.”
I want to tell my boss to send me overseas for an onsite project.
I want to tell myself that I am walking into a disaster.
I want to tell myself that driving a car is safer than riding a motorcycle.
I want to tell myself not to visit my fiancée on 2nd December.
I want an oracle to tell me that the marriage is designed for disaster.
I want an astrologer to tell me that our horoscopes didn’t match.

But I couldn’t do any of the above things as one can’t change destiny.
I went out to meet my fiancée on 2nd December.
A car smashed into my motorcycle and threw me away from it.
I landed on my head and my spinal cord got cut.
I was taken to the hospital and after surgery, and months-long
rehabilitation I was put in a wheelchair.
I have been in a wheelchair since then.
Today is the 32nd anniversary of my accident
Thirty-two years in a wheelchair paralyzed from chest down.
If I could travel back into the past, knowing what I know now,
I could have avoided all this.
But I can’t change the past as time travel is possible only in movies.
But often I wonder, “If I could go back…”
