The Art of Dying

They found him hanging
at the end of a rope.
No one knew
why he did it.

Some said depression.
Others said no money left.
Many offered theories.

But the note in his diary read:
“I have finished my duties.
There is no point
in going on.
So I end it now
while I can still
take care of myself.”

What a beautiful concept.
